Since colonialism, African countries are faced with instability,
corruption, violence, hiv / aids, poverty and food insecurity.
African countries have been fueled primarily by natural
resources and not manufacturing or agriculture, or jobs. ON
09/09/1999, he formed the African Union (AU), which is a federation
of political association composed of 53 African countries across
Africa. It offers hope for greater cooperation and peace between
many African countries. The African Union has a parliamentary
government, THE GOVERNMENT OF THE AFRICAN UNION, including the
legislative, judicial and executive branches. It is sort of the
European Union.

The African Union represent 53 African countries and is
like European Union
OBJECTIVES OF THE AFRICAN UNION ARE: -

Human Rights and other instruments of human rights. To create
the necessary conditions that enable African countries to play
its rightful role in the global economy and in international

development and integration of African economies. Promote
cooperation in all fields of human activity to raise the living
standards of African peoples;
10.To coordinate and harmonize policies among existing and future
regional economic communities;
By year 2008, the African Union is fully in place and works.
The vast majority of African countries are republics now
operating under some form of presidential system of rule.
However, few have been able to sustain democratic governments
permanently. Governance has significantly improved with progress
on accountability, political liberalization and economic
management. Millions of African men and women live longer
FREEDOM, better economic opportunities and better security than
before. Robust economic growth is also changing norms and
African life. Almost all election in the African Union is now
genuinely pluralistic political representation has been expanded
to reflect the diversity of African society. The World Bank said
it expects economic growth in Africa in almost four percent in
2010 and better in the future.
.
The African Union has abundant resources natural. It is said
that the African Union holds 90% of the world's cobalt, 90% of
its platinum, 50% of its gold, 98% chromium, 70% of its
tantalite , 64% of manganese and its third its uranium.
Democratic Republic of Congo hold 70% of Colton in the world.
Most mobile phones in the world are based on Colton. African
Union also has more than 30% of the world's diamonds. GUINEA is
the world's leading exporter of bauxite. Over the past two
years, the African Union has concluded many bilateral agreements
with India for finding solutions to indigenous economic growth,
particularly in the fields of higher education, medicine,
industrialization and Agriculture. Resulting
many corporation of India are working in various countries
of Africa Union for reducing its hiv / aids, poverty and
food insecurity and African life Many African people are
studying in India. In my city-Chandigarh -more than 500
students are studying in fields higher education, medicine ,technology
and agriculture
The African Union is purchasing medicines of India which is 70%
cheaper than the brand drug in developed countries ..Bharti Airtel
of India - the world’s fifth largest wireless company is now
setting latest communication and internet facilities in 15 African countries . Essar Company of
India has acquired refineries in Kenya. Many Indian companies
have piled into Mozambique to exploit coal deposits newly
discovered there. Zambia’s Konkola mine, the biggest in Africa,
was once sold to a multinational Anglo-American firm, which
failed to revive it. Then Sterlite India acquired the mine and
turned it around.
Hoping to address the food insecurity, Africa Union are
inviting India farmers to come and cultivate their lands. Many
African countries are willing to lease land free of cost for 99
years. India Farmers are free to cultivate the African countries
land and raise any crop and sell it to the domestic market and
also export. Sudan and Ethiopia are also offering free land to
Chinese farmers . Huge number of farmers of India are setting up
agricultural farms in many countries of African Union. India has become partner in
solving poverty and food insecurity of African countries in
a big way. African Union now has the bargaining power and was
able to stop exploitation of its resources natural..
African Union indicates there is progress in food insecurity - a
remarkable decline in the incidence of AIDS and malaria, a
tangible reduction in poverty, a substantial increase in
longevity, increased primary school enrollment from 58 percent
in 2000 to 74 percent in 2008 and a general decline in violence.
Supply of fertilizer and new seed varieties to farmers by
governments in poor countries like Malawi has increased crop
yields, and the excess of tropical crops are looking for markets
abroad.
In the African Union (AU) as a whole, 2010 was exceptional in the number
of elections. Burundi, Guinea, Ethiopia and the semi-autonomous
region of Somalia was an election earlier this year, Tanzania
and Chad followed. The referendum in Kenya was another success
of the democratic exercise of that country to give a new
constitution, which helps to resolve ethnic tensions.
Increasingly, voters hold politicians accountable, and this
bodes well for the future progress of Africa.
The continent's economy has shown great strength in a global
recession. According to an IMF report, African Union has
increased to over FIVE PERCENT during the period 2000-2009. Soaring
commodity prices have contributed only a quarter of growth. Even
countries with no mineral resources, has increased at a rate of
over 4 percent.
Consumer spending on the African Union, with less than 1 billion
people in 2008 was 860 billion, more than India with a
population of 1.2 billion. As many as 316 million mobile phones
were added between 2000 and 2008. .Africa Union is becoming
partner in growth of world economy and free from instability,
corruption, violence, hiv / aids, poverty and food insecurity in
big way.
